BENGALURU: The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) employees are yet to receive their September salaries. Despite the 4th of the month passing, salaries had not been credited. Usually, stafff salaries are credit into their accounts on the first of every month.
The GBA employees, numbering around 17,000, are involved in the caste survey and are upset and expected their salaries to be paid on time, especially before the Dasara festival.
The employees are protesting, stating that this is the first time in 10 years that they have faced such a situation. The delay is attributed to the recent changes in the BBMP administration, with the Greater Bengaluru Authority being formed on September 2.

The workers have been actively involved in election duty, survey work, and any other work. In a city like Bengaluru, if the salary is not paid on time, they will face many problems. The employees have requested their higher officials in the corporation to ensure payment of September salaries without further delay.
