VIJAYAPURA: A thief stole a motorcycle belonging to Kallinath Swami of Digambareshwara Math at Kolhar in the wee hours on January 24. The theft was captured on a CCTV camera.
In the footage, a youth can be seen first checking the lock of a Royal Enfield motorcycle and then approaching the Jawa 42 motorcycle parked in the math premises, checking its handle lock and, upon realising that it was not locked, he pushed it out of the premises.
The Jawa 42 motorcycle is registered in the name of Mallikarjun Revanasiddha Shirdhonkar. The Kolhar police have registered a case and taken up further investigation.
