KALABURAGI: A major fire broke out at a power station in Sedam taluk, leading to a blackout in several villages on Sunday night.

The fire, believed to have been caused due to an electrical short circuit, broke out at the Gescom power station at Batagera village in Sedam police limits.

Several villages faced a blackout due to the fire incident.

As a result, several villages in the taluk to where power is supplied from the power station had to go without electricity on Sunday night.
