HASSAN: In more trouble for MLC Suraj Revanna, a second FIR has been registered against him alleging unnatural sex. A man from Holenarasipur, who had lodged a complaint on behalf of Suraj against the first victim on June 21, has now himself lodged a complaint against the lawmaker.

The victim lodged the complaint today at the Holenarasipur rural police station, alleging that he had been sexually assaulted a few years ago. An FIR has been registered under IPC Sections 377, 342 and 506 based on the complaint.

According to the complaint, Suraj had pressured him to lodge a complaint against the Arakalagudu youth. Suraj had also committed similar unnatural sexual assaults on him during the Covid period four years ago.

The second victim, speaking to the media, said, “Suraj Revanna sexually assaulted the first victim. Then, the victim contacted me, as he knew me. When I learnt about the matter, I brought it to the attention of Suraj. He threatened me and forced me to convince the first victim. He threatened me of life if I didn’t follow his diktat. Then, he forced me to lodge a complaint against the first victim”.

“He told me that he would give first Rs 1 crore first and then another Rs 1 crore. The name of one of Hassan’s municipal councilors is mentioned in the complaint. Suraj said that the councillor would come to talk with the first victim, but he had fled by the time the councillor came to meet him in Hassan”, the second victim said.

“I worked with Suraj for seven years and he has abused me a lot. He is an influential person and there is a threat to my life”, the second victim said.

“I have lodged a complaint against Suraj Revanna and his accomplices Sachin and Rakshit. Suraj Revanna sexually assaulted me four years ago during the pandemic period. Now again, he threatened me. He is the leader of a party, and we are activists. I would work for him during the elections. I have mentioned everything in the complaint and the truth will come out after investigation”, the victim added.

He further said, “I came to the police station on my own to lodge the complaint. Me and the first victim are colleagues. I did not introduce him to Suraj, they knew each other. I want justice. I had not revealed to anyone about the sexual abuse that happened to me. I tolerated everything and maintained distance from  Suraj”, the complainant said.
