BENGALURU: Namma Metro commuters may have something to cheer about. The second train set for the much anticipated pink line has arrived in the city and the coaches were delivered at the Kothanur depot.
The total route is 21.26 km long, with 7.5 km of elevated route where trials have begun. The elevated route has six stations. The first phase of the route will start between Kalena Agrahara and Tavarekere and the BMRCL is preparing to open this route in April.

The remaining 13.76 km is under underground construction, and after completion, the entire route is expected to be opened by the end of the year. The BMRCL will start track testing soon after assembling the new train.
