BENGALURU: Fifteen days after the solar eclipse, a total lunar eclipse is all set to occur on November 8. The eclipse will start at 1.32 pm and end at 7.27 pm. However, In India, the lunar eclipse will be partial and will last 19 minutes.

The total lunar eclipse of the year will be visible in parts of Russia, Asia, Australia, North America and parts of northern and eastern Europe and most of South America. A total lunar eclipse will occur when the Earth is positioned between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow across the entire surface of the Moon.

Partial Lunar eclipse is visible in India on November 8.

According to astrologists, the eclipse will occur in the Karthika month of the Hindu calendar, which is a month of festivals. On that day, several festivals like Guru Nanak Jayanti and Dodda Gauri Vratha are celebrated and it is believed that some zodiac signs will be affected negatively.

“The lunar eclipse will occur on November 8, a Full Moon day. The moon will rise around 5.50 pm and partial lunar eclipse will happen till 6.19 pm. In India, the partial lunar eclipse will be visible for around 19 minutes. In some parts of the world, it will be a total lunar eclipse, and in other parts of the world it will be partial. Even though the eclipse will be for 19 minutes, it will not be visible to us, and the eclipse will completely end around 7.20 pm, “said Anand, a scientist at the Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium.
