BENGALURU: Businessman KGF Babu’s luxury Rolls-Royce cars have been seized by RTO officials after a raid on his residence in Vasanthnagar on Tuesday morning. The cars were purchased from Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan, but KGF Babu had allegedly evaded paying taxes.
The RTO team, led by Joint Commissioner Shobha, conducted the raid and set out to seize the car on the charge that KGF Babu had cheated by not paying tax on luxury cars. The team of officials was camped in front of KGF Babu’s house as he did not open the door in the morning.
KGF Babu owns several luxury cars, including Rolls Royce and Toyota Velfire models. He claimed that he is willing to pay the taxes, but questioned the sudden seizure of the cars without determining the tax amount.
Babu stated that one Rolls Royce car was purchased from Amitabh Bachchan and another from Aamir Khan, both registered in Mumbai, and he hasn’t paid road taxes on them yet in Karnataka. “Now the RTO officials have come. If they tell me how much the tax is, I will pay it”, he said while questioned their surprise visit without any notice to his residence.
