CHIKKODI: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat visited the Shri Kadasiddheshwar Math in Yadur village of Chikkodi taluk on Saturday. He was received by Shri Shail Jagadguru Channaramasiddha Shri, who performed a gau tulabhara ceremony, where Bhagwat was weighed against gau (cow) feed.
Later, Bhagwat addressed a youth gathering, where he spoke about the Iran-Israel conflict. He said that the conflict is not as old as the Ukraine-Russia war, but it’s worrying that it might drag on for a long time. He attributed the conflict to selfishness and a sense of “I” and “mine”.
Bhagwat emphasized the importance of Hindu dharma and human values in solving global problems. He said that all nations, including India, should maintain friendly relations and resolve conflicts peacefully.
He also spoke about the nature of Hindu society, saying that it’s inclusive and doesn’t seek to convert others. “Hindu” is not just a religion, but a way of life, he said. He added that Hindu society has always been united despite differences in worship and customs.
Bhagwat’s visit included interactions with students and a dialogue session. The event was part of his efforts to spread the RSS message and promote Hindu values.
