BENGALURU: The Bengaluru traffic police’s 50 per cent discount offer on pending traffic fines has received an overwhelming response from vehicle owners. So far, motorists have paid Rs 35.73 crore in fines, settling 12,70,950 pending cases.
The discount scheme, which started on August 23, aims to encourage citizens to clear their outstanding dues and avoid legal action. Vehicle owners can pay their fines through various online and offline methods.
The scheme is valid until September 12, and motorists are encouraged to take advantage of this limited-time offer to settle their pending fines. This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to improve traffic compliance and reduce pending fines in Bengaluru.
