HASSAN: A notorious rowdy, Ravi a.k.a Child Ravi (45) was brutally hacked to death with by four unidentified men at Hemavathi Nagar here on Wednesday morning. However, the motive for the killing was not known immediately.
Ravi was returning home carrying a can of drinking water on his scooter at 7.55 am when the four men, in a Hyundai Santro car, deliberately collided with him head on, throwing him to the ground. In CCTV footage, four men can be seen pouncing on him with swords and machetes and making good their escape in less than 30 seconds.
Passersby, including a couple of schoolboys, can be seen running away as soon as the gang started attacking the rowdy. Ravi was facing cases of murder, assault and dacoity. The Pension Mohalla police visited the spot and have registered a case. They are now on the lookout for the attackers.
