BENGALURU: The Jigani police in Anekal subdivision arrested notorious history-sheeter Manoj Kumar a.k.a Jackie, just before he could board a flight to another state.
The police team, led by Inspector Manjunath, caught him while he was trying to escape. Manoj Kumar, who is involved in more than 10 cases, including murder and attempted murder, had a warrant issued against him.
He was part of a gang of young men and was involved in extortion and threatening people. The notorious history sheeter had been causing trouble for the Anekal subdivision police and was arrested while trying to flee the state after celebrating his birthday with his gang on May 17.
The police had received a tip-off about his escape plan and his flight ticket booking, and they apprehended him before he could board the plane.
