MYSURU: An accused in a robbery case was shot at by the police after he tried to escape by attacking a police team. The accused had been taken to the scene of crime when the incident occurred.
The accused Adarsh hails from Kerala and is part of a gang of highway robbers. So far, he has been arrested in seven cases.
On Friday, the police had taken him to a scene of crime when he attacked two police personnel with a bottle, and tried to escape. The police then shot at him, injuring him in the leg. Both the injured accused and the police personnel have been admitted to a hospital.
