BENGALURU: The city’s wellknown government hospital, KC General, is facing a major basic infrastructure issue. Thousands of patients and ICU cases visit the hospital every day, but the roads leading to the hospital are plagued with potholes, making it difficult for ambulances and autorickshaws to move.
The road from the entrance to the emergency ward is particularly in a pitiable condition, with deep potholes causing problems for vehicles. Patients and auto passengers struggle to navigate these potholes, and there’s growing concern about the risks, especially for emergency cases.

A visitor said that it is difficult for patients and vehicles to carry passengers on this road. “Water is filled in potholes, and dirty water splashes on the clothes of road users. The authorities concerned should pay their attention and fix the road immediately”, he requested.
Nagaraj, an auto driver, said, “The management should ensure smooth vehicle movement and needs to work on it. There is no other route to reach the emergency ward. We have passengers to reach the ward, but the other gate is closed. The main entrance is the only way to enter and exit.”
