The SDRF and firefighters found fish in the flooded basement of Kendriya Vihar apartment on Thursday morning.

BENGALURU: The basement of Kendriya Vihar apartment in Yelahanka, which was flooded in knee-deep water following two days of incessant rain, continued to remain waterlogged on Thursday morning.

Water was pumped out using eight pumps.

Even as efforts to empty out the water were continuing, residents, the SDRF personnel and firemen found fish in the flood water. On Thursday, the city saw some respite from the continuous rain, but residents of Kendriya Vihar were struggling with the flooded basement.

Some residents continued to take the help of tractors to head out.

The SDRF and firemen had deployed eight pumps to drain out the water into the rajakaluve. The residents say they are frustrated with the repeated flooding of the apartment complex and one of the flat owners has even put it up for sale.
