BENGALURU: The Banashankari Temple in the city has resolved its LPG cylinder shortage issue, and prasadam distribution has resumed three times a day. Earlier, the temple faced difficulties due to a commercial gas cylinder shortage, affecting prasad distribution.
The temple authorities have worked with the gas agency to prioritise the temple’s supply, ensuring uninterrupted prasadam distribution. The gas agency has increased its supply to meet the temple’s demands, and extra cylinders are stored in case of emergencies.
The temple distributes prasadam, including curd rice and palav, three times a day in morning, afternoon, and evening. The authorities have taken steps to manage the situation, including purchasing additional cylinders and storing them in a designated area.
The gas agency has cooperated with the temple, providing cylinders promptly. With the issue resolved, devotees can now receive prasad without any disruptions.
“We faced disruption only on last Sunday when we couldn’t distribute prasadam, otherwise we have had no problem and there is no change in the menu also. Morning prasadam is distributed from 9 am to 12.30 pm and there onwards, rice-sambar/pongal prasadam with butter milk is distributed till about 7 pm”, said Krishnappa CEO of the temple committee.
