CHAMARAJANAGAR: About 20 schoolchildren had a narrow escape after a rear wheelb of the school bus came unhinged from the axle even as it was moving. The incident occurred near Madrahalli in Gundlupet taluk on Thursday morning.
The bus belongs to Hindustan Public School and was ferrying children to the school in the morning when the incident occurred. Since the bus was moving slowly, there was no untoward incident.
The school authorities arranged for another vehicle to ferry the children. However, some parents complained that the school bus was not maintained properly, which led to the accident.
