VIJAYAPURA: Muddebihal Congress MLA C S Nadagouda has sparked a controversy by expressing his displeasure over the lack of development and said that he is even willing to make a ‘political sacrifice’ if backward areas are not developed.
The MLA, who spoke after chairing a meeting with with KBJNL officials at the travellers bungalow in Muddebihal, said he is committed to development and added that not only Muddebihal, but all backward areas should be developed to set right the regional imbalance. “If there is no development, I do not desire to continue in politics”, he said.
“I am ready for a political sacrifice if the government does not respond positively. I am saying this with an open mind, all backward regions should be developed. I am not interested in such politics where one elected representative gets more funds for development and consequently praise, while another does not”, he said, indirectly hinting that funds are not reaching underdeveloped regions under the Siddaramaiah-led Congress government.
