BENGALURU: The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases in the city has introduced a new robotic technology for the first time for the benefit of patients in emergency situations.

The new robotic technology will help doctors monitor patients in emergency situations

The robotic technology is used in the hospital’s ICU, where senior doctors can treat the patient in an emergency. The doctors can monitor the patients’ conditions from a single room. Furthermore, the possibility of infection of patients in the ICU from others can be prevented and treatment can be provided while being observed by other expert doctors too.

A total of 28 beds have been equipped with the robotic technology in the first phase. This service will be inaugurated within a week and made available to the public.
