Rain expected in several parts of state for the next four days

BENGALURU: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast predicting heavy rainfall across most parts of Karnataka over the next four days. A yellow alert has been issued for 30 districts with the exception of Uttara Kannada. A rain alert has been issued till June 14.

A red alert has been declared for Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Shivamogga, Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, and Chikkamagaluru districts on June 12, while an orange alert has been issued for Belagavi, Dharwad, Gadag, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayanagara, Ballari, Davanagere, and Hassan districts. A yellow alert has been issued for 16 districts, including Bidar, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Bengaluru, Bengaluru Rural, Mysuru, Ramanagara, and Mandya.

The IMD has also issued red alert for specific districts, including Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Shivamogga, Dakshina Kannada, Chikkamagaluru and Kodagu districts on June 13 and 14.

An orange alert has been issued for Belagavi, Dharwad, Haveri, Hassan, and Mysuru. The Meteorological Department has informed that a yellow alert has been declared for all the remaining districts, including Bidar, Kalaburagi, Vijayapura, Bengaluru, and Bengaluru Rural.
