Railways to run special train for Kumbh Mela from Mysuru on December 29

BENGALURU: The South Western Railway has arranged a special train from Mysuru to Lucknow Junction to facilitate travel of devotees attending the Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh.

The special train will help cater to the extra rush of passengers travelling for the Kumbh Mela. The train, numbered 06216, will depart from Mysuru on December 29 at 12.30 am and arrive at Lucknow Junction on December 31 at 4 am.

The special train will stop at various stations, including Mandya, KSR Bengaluru, Yeshwanthpur Junction, Tumakuru, Arasikere Junction, Kadur, Chikkajajur Junction, Davangere, Haveri, SSS Hubballi Junction, Dharwad, Belagavi and Ghatprabha.

Also, passengers can board the train at other stations including Miraj Junction, Sangli, Karad, Pune Junction, Daund Chord line, Ahmednagar, Manmad Junction, Bhusawal Junction, Khandwa, Talwadia, Bhopal, Chanera stations and others.

The special train will comprise 11 second-class general coaches, seven sleeper-class coaches, and two SLR/D coaches, totaling 20 coaches. According to the Indian Railways department, passengers can visit the Indian Railways official web portal for more information: www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in
