RAICHUR: Raichur City BJP MLA Dr Shivaraj Patil flashed a sword during the Hindu Maha Ganapati Shobha Yatra and immersion procession in the city on Thursday. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
Thousands of people had gathered for the Ganesha immersion procession and several cultural troupes also took part. Shivaraj Patil was carried on the shoulders by some of his supporters and a sword was handed to him when the procession reached Chandramouleshwara Circle.
