RAICHUR: A farmer from Sarjapur in the district was attacked by a crocodile while bathing his oxen in a lake in Raichur. The farmer Mahananda, who suffered serious injuries in his right leg, is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Raichur.
After the incident, Forest Department officials launched an operation caught the crocodile with the help of local villagers. The crocodile has been relocated to a safe place.
However, villagers are still worried as they suspect that two more crocodiles may be present in the lake. They are demanding that the forest department catch the remaining crocodiles as well.
