Rahul Gandhi takes a bite of Nandini ice cream in JP Nagar parlour, calls it the best

BENGALURU: Amid the row over the entry of Amul in parts of Bengaluru, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, State Congress chief DK Shivakumar and general secretary KC Venugopal, AICC general secretary in charge of Karnataka, Randeep Surjewala, visited a Nandani milk parlour near R V Dental College in JP Nagar, Bengaluru, on Sunday.

Rahul Gandhi took a bite of an ice cream, had cold drinks, accompanied with other leaders. Congress state president D K Shivakumar paid Rs 1,000 towards expenses to the the parlour owner.

Rahul Gandhi had some conversation with the parlour owner and asked the owner that the Nandini products come from, for how many years he has been doing this job. The Nandini booth owner said the products come from Ballari.

Randeep Singh Surjewala tweeted on photos of his visit to the Nandini parlour saying that “Nandini is best ! BJP can’t decimate it. BJP can’t destroy it. BJP can’t sell off. @RahulGandhi ji at Nandini stall today”.

The booth owner also took a photo with Rahul Gandhi and shared it on social media.
