GADAG: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) state president Nalin Kumar Kateel on Wednesday raised questions about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s surname saying, “We have doubts about his bloodline”. He also questioned what sort of a fighter Rahul Gandhi is.
Attacking Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Kateel said his contribution to freedom is zero. “We have doubts about Rahul Gandhi’s bloodline. Is Rahul Gandhi even a fighter? People should know how Rahul Gandhi got his surname. He should travel all the 224 Assembly constituencies in Karnataka, because wherever Rahul Gandhi travelled in the entire country, Congress has lost its power in that state”.
Commenting on Jagadish Shettar’s desertion, Kateel said, “The BJP had given all respect, positions and power to Shettar, but now, he has joined Congress. The BJP will win against him, the Kauravas and Pandavas have to fight. Our fight against Congress is necessary”.
Talking about Siddaramaiah’s ‘corrupt Lingayat CM’ remarks, Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “The BJP has already made Lingayat as Chief Ministers for three times and will make Lingayats as CM in future too. If Siddaramaiah and D K Shivakumar have the courage, let them say so openly”, throwing a challenge to the Congress.
“We have seen goonda (hooligan) politics in Gadag constituency too. Some people tried to attack our candidate during the submission of nomination papers. They attacked our party workers. They are trying to win this constituency by hooliganism. But our candidate, Anil Menasinakai, will win this time for sure”, he said.
