Rabid dog bites five visitors at KRS

MANDYA: A stray dog, believed to be rabid, attacked five visitors at the north Brindavan Gardens at the famous Krishnaraja Sagar (KRS) Dam in Srirangapatna taluk on Sunday night. Following, the incident, the garden was closed to visitors.

The rabid dog suddenly started attacking visitors, tearing their clothes and biting them, creating a tense atmosphere last night. The security staff later managed to chase the dog outside the garden.

Entry to the north Brindavan Garden was closed for visitors after the dog attack on Sunday evening.

The gates of the north garden were later closed to visitors fearing that the dog may make its way back in. The five victims of the attack were shifted to the Mysuru district hospital for treatment.
