BIDAR: A huge python, which had fallen into a well at Hanumanta Wadi village in Basavakalyan taluk about 4-5 days ago has been safely rescued.
The python had fallen into the well on land belonging to one Hanumantha Gokhale. On spotting the snake, he called up herpetologist Ahok Shetty, who rescued the python with the help of a rope.
The herpetologist later released the python, which was battling for life, into a forest. The villagers cheered for Ashok Shetty upon the successful rescue.
