BENGALURU: A 20-year-old youth from Puttur, who was with his girlfriend, was found dead in a lodge in Madiwala in the city under suspicious circumstances. The deceased youth was identified as Takshit.
He had come to Bengaluru with his girlfriend about eight days ago and was staying in a lodge. The couple had been in a relationship since their college days while pursuing BBA at Panambur and had dropped out due to backlogs. Takshit had told his family that he was going to Mysuru for studies, but was staying with his girlfriend in Bengaluru.
The couple had checked in on October 9 and it is suspected that the woman had left the lodge before Takshit was found dead. The couple had been spending the entire eight days in the room, ordering food to their room online and seemed normal until Friday.
They ordered food online on Friday and apparently suffered from food poisoning. Both had gone to a medical store and had also taken some tablets. The girl, who had recovered a little, left the lodge, leaving Takshit behind, and went to her hometown. However, Takshit, who was in the room, had died in his sleep.
When the lodge staff did nto get a response from Takshit’s room, they opened it using a master key and found him dead on the bed. The police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
