BENGALURU: A 20-year-old youth, identified as Takshit from Puttur was found dead in a lodge in Madiwala here, where he had been staying with his girlfriend for seven days. The cause of death is suspected to be an overdose of tablets.
The post-mortem report has been inconclusive, and the death has been declared suspicious as there were no external injuries on the body. The police have sent samples to FSL for further investigation, including liver, stomach, and blood samples to detect any tablet consumption.
The report of the FSL tests will take about a month to come. The incident came to light lasr Friday morning when the lodge staff opened the room and found Takshit dead. He had booked the room online a week ago and was staying with his girlfriend. The girlfriend had left for Virajpet on Thursday due to health issues, and Takshit was found dead the next day.
