RAMANAGARA: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, who paid a surprise visit to a KarnatakaOne centre in Kanakapura were registrations were going on for the Gruha Lakshmi scheme, asked the staff to put his picture on the registration form alongside Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s and not to make it uneven.
The Deputy CM was in Kanakapura on Friday to pay his last respects to Puttamadaiah, a lawyer known to him who had passed away. While returning to Bengaluru, Shivakumar stopped by at the KarnatakaOne centre on SLN Road in Kanakapura and inquired with the staff and the people there about the registration process.
While casually checking a printout of the registration form, Shivakumar remarked, “Put my picture and Siddaramaiah’s together, don’t make it uneven. He then took a photo of the registration form on his phone. The Deputy CM also inquired with those who had lined up for registration if the KarnatakaOne staff were taking any bribes, who which the women replied in the negative.
Shivakumar also distributed the registration forms to some of the women and spent some time getting details about the registration process from the staff. He later headed to Bengaluru.
