MANDYA: A 17-year-old boy, who was out with his mother to make purchases for the Gowri-Ganesha festival in Bengaluru, died after suffering a cardiac arrest on Monday evening. The deceased was identified as Chirag.
The first-year PUC student in a private college hailed from D Malligere in Maddur taluk. On Monday, when he was shopping with his mother, he collapsed after paying the bill due to chest pain.
Chirag was immediately rushed to a hospital, but he did not survive. The last rites were conducted at his native village on Tuesday.
