BENGALURU: The sixth edition of the two-day ‘Vidhyapeeta’, Karnataka’s biggest education expo, organised by Public TV on the theme ‘Today’s Learning, Tomorrow’s Light’ in collaboration with Ad6 at Gayatri Vihar, Palace Grounds, Bengaluru, received an overwhelming response from students and parents on its first day itself.
Over 7,000 students, along with their parents, visited the Vidhyapeeta expo and participated actively in the various interactive sessions and gained knowledge.
Public TV Managing Director H R Ranganath and Higher Education Minister Dr M C Sudhakar inaugurated the two-day expo. More than 105 educational institutions are participating in the Vidhyapeeta education expo to provide a direction to students in their educational pursuits.
H R Ranganath, the chief of Public TV, Higher Education Minister Dr M C Sudhakar, Chancellor of Garden City University, V G Joseph, Chancellor of REVA University, Shyamaraju, and chairman of the Cambridge Group of Institutions, D K Mohan, were present.
Ranganath, who delivered the keynote address, elaborated on the purpose of organising the event. The dignitaries appreciated the ‘Vidhyapeeta’ expo.
A special lecture on KCET, NEET was held on the first day of the expo. Students gained information about KCET and NEET.
Along with information on educational programmes, various games were held for the students in order to entertain them. Slow cycle races, musical chairs, logo game, pick-and-speak competitions were held. The winners of the competition bagged prizes.
The lucky dip winners received attractive gifts every hour. PUC toppers also got bumper gifts. Even parents also appreciated the ‘Vidhyapeeta’ programme.
The education expo will continue on Sunday too, which will be held from 10 am to 7 pm. There will be a special programme organised by handwriting expert Rafi Ullah Baig.
