Public TV marks 11th anniversary celebration with fanfare

BENGALURU: Kannada media house Public TV celebrated its 11th anniversary at its head office in Yeshwantpur on Sunday with fervour. The heads of all departments of Public TV launched the ‘Public TV 11 Arohana’ programme by lighting the lamp and cutting a cake. Public TV founder-chairman H R Ranganath thanked the public and viewers of the state for their unstinted support.

H R Ranganath said, “The people of state are the reason why we are here today. From the day we started the channel to where we have reached now is unimaginable. We have achieved what we had not even dreamt of. As they say, ‘Don’t worry about what you don’t have, be happy with what you have’, I am very happy with our achievements. The people of Karnataka and their encouragement is the are the reason”, he said, while acknowledging the support of the people and viewers.

Giving a piece of advice, he said, “For a journalist, the spirit of the profession is important, and if that fades, the journalist in the person is as good as dead. So every journalist should keep the spirit burning bright and maintain the professionalism”.

Public TV’s CEO Arun Kumar, COO Harish Kumar, Editor-in-Chief Divakar C, Executive Editor Anand G and the staff of the organisation were present on the occasion.
