BENGALURU: At a time when music is available on the palm of the hand, it is gratifying and, at the same time, surprising that our music channel has completed 10 year, said Public TV chairman H R Ranganath.

Speaking at the 10th anniversary celebration of Public Music, ‘Dashotsava’ ,held at the Public TV offices, Ranganath said technology has taken music to new frontiers as one does not have to physically be present before a television set to catch up on news or music.

“One doesn’t have to sit and listen to music at Ganeshotsava or Rama Navami festivals, people can choose the type of music they want and listen to it wherever they are”, he noted.

“Everything is accessible on the mobile phone these days. When such is the situation, the fact the Public Music channel has not only survived, but also doing well, is a big achievement in itself. I am thankful to our viewers and our colleagues who catered to the audience”, Ranganath said.

Manohar Naidu of Lahari Music, Shyam Chabria of Anand Audio, ‘Real Star’ Upendra, music director Ajaneesh Lokanath, scriptwriter Dr V Nagendra Prasad, singer Aishwarya Rangarajan were among the guests.
