CHIKKODI: A PU student died after he fell from the first floor of a residential school building at Hirekodi village in the taluk around midnight on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Afreen Jamadar (17).
Afreen hailed from Shindi Kurubet in Gokak taluk. As she had an exam on Tuesday, she was on the first floor around midnight. It is suspected that she may have lost her balance and fallen down.
The Chikkodi police visited the spot and have registered a case. Further investigation is under way.
