CHIKKAMAGALUR: The wife of the Kalasa police sub-inspector has accused him and his relatives of dowry harassment. She has also accused him of demanding sexual favours from other women.
The complainant has accused Kalasa SI Nityananda Gowda of demanding Rs 50 lakh in dowry. She has also named his sister and brother-in-law in her complaint and accused them of abusing her in foul language.
The woman has accused her husband of sexually exploiting women who come to the police station to lodge complaints and for passport verification. She also alleged that the SI had an affair with a Muslim woman when he was posted at the Kaup police station in Udupi.
Further, the woman alleged that she had found condoms in the SI’s chamber and when a Muslim group had tried to assault him, the SP had saved him. She also accused her husband of having affairs with women at Kota and in Bengaluru and added that he escaped trouble by giving Rs 4 lakh to the Bengaluru woman.
