BENGALURU: The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has delivered a shock to the residents of Hulimangala in Jigani hobli by directing the gram panchayat not to approve building plans or issue khatas.
The BDA has also asked the Hulikunte gram panchayat to cancel approval granted to building plans and revoke khatas. The civic agency has cited an illegal layout and illegal buildings coming up in the land earmarked for the Peripheral Ring Road-2 project.
The BDA noted that surveys are being conducted in different villages coming under the Hulimangala gram panchayat jurisdiction for the PRR-2 project (Bangalore Business Corridor) and directed the gram panchayat not to approve any illegal layouts or building. It also said officials will be held responsible in case of issuance of khata or grant of approval for building plans.
