BENGALURU: After the petition to Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot for permission for prosecution, now a private complaint has been filed against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in the special court for elected representatives over the MUDA site allotment issue.
The complainant, social activist, Snehamayi Krishna has named Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his wife Parvathi, Mallikarjun, Ninga (Javara) and others in the complaint. Judge Santosh Gajanana Bhat will hear the petition in his court.
The complainant’s lawyer Vasanth told Public TV that the court examined the documents on Thursday. “We have presented some arguments and the court has allowed us to present more arguments on Friday”, he said.
Further, he said they have revenue records relating to the issue and prima facie, there seems to be irregularities. “Scrutiny of the petition was done today and further arguments will be made tomorrow after the petition is admitted”.
Reacting to the development in Mysuru, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said, “Let them file false complaints, I have the strength to reply to it. False cases won’t stand the scrutiny of law”.
