Private bus goes on wrong side on Mysuru-Bengaluru highway, netizens seek action

BENGALURU: A private bus was spotted driving on the wrong side of the Mysuru-Bengaluru highway, violating traffic rules, and endangering lives. A video of the reckless driving of a bus driver captured by a road user who posted the video on social media.

In video it could be seen a driver is driving bus at high speeds on the wrong carriageway, putting the lives of passengers and other motorists at risk.

Another X user, Dave (@motordave2) wrote, “Pune Registered VRL Logistics Bus plying on BengaluruMysuru Highway on the Wrong Way yesterday, could had been the reason of max deaths on this Highway just like today’s Hosur Accident and injury! Drivers Imprisonments, hefty fine from @vrlbus @VrlltdOfficial. Not expected!

Responding to it, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) (Traffic and Road Safety) Alok Kumar wrote, “It’s atrocious and so dangerous. Though vehicle number and other details are not available, Mandya Police is making serious efforts to trace the bus and take stringent action. Such violations having a serious bearing on the safety of Road users won’t be condoned”.

He later posted, “Mandya Police has contacted VRL Co. It’s a bus with MH passing and as of now the errant driver along with the bus is in Mumbai. Driver would be produced before police on Tuesday. We will register a case for dangerous driving”,
