CHAMARAJNAGAR: A priest held devotees in awe after frying kajjaya by dipping his bare hands in boiling oil durng the Siddappaji annual fair on the occasion of the last Monday of the Hindu calendar month of Karthika at Lokkanahalli village in Hanur taluk.
In a video that has now gone viral, another priest can be seen throwing boiling oil towards the devotees who had gathered around.
In the video, he priest is seen frying kajjaya by dipping his hands in the oil which had been boiling for two hours, without using a spatula. He can also be seen going around the hot frying while dancing as devotees cheer him on.
Thousands of devotees took part in the fair and witnessed the bizzare act of the priest even as they raises slogans in praise of Siddappaji, a local deity.
