BENGALURU: A pregnant woman, who consumed abortion pills, died due to excessive bleeding at Begur in the city. She had taken the pills without informing her husband. The couple have a 11-month-old child.
Preethi Kushwaha recently underwent a pregnancy test and found out that she was carrying their second child. She the informed her husband who suggested that they see a doctor. Upset by this, she allegedly consumed abortion pills without informing her husband.
When she started bleeding heavily, she called her husband, who planned to immediately shift her to hospital. However, she refused and died due to excessive bleeding by early Wednesday morning.
Preethi’s brother has lodged a complaint with the Begur police who have taken up further investigation.
