NIA announces Rs 14 lakhs reward for information on four accused in the murder case of Praveen Nettaru on Tuesday.

BENGALURU: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has released a poster announcing a reward of Rs 14 lakh for information about four Popular Front of India (PFI) activists and main accused in the Praveen Nettaru murder case.

The NIA has announced Rs 5 lakh each for Mohammed Musthafa and Tufail M H, the main accused in the Praveen Nettaru murder case, and Rs 2 lakh each  for Umar Farooq and Aboobacker Siddiq.

The NIA has announced a reward for the main accused in the murder of Praveen Nettaru.

Praveen Kumar Nettaru (31) was a member of the BJP Yuva Morcha and owned a chicken shop at Peruvaje Cross near Bellare in Sulya Taluk of Dakshina Kannada district. He closed shop around 8 pm on July 26 when three motorcycle assaliants brutally attacked him on. He was immediately admitted to a hospital in Puttur, but died due to severe injuries and blood loss.

Praveen Nettaru was murdered on July 26 by assaliants.

The state government handed over the case for investigation to the NIA. The NIA registered an FIR and started investigation, raiding 32 places in Puttur and Sulya of Dakshina Kannada district. The central agency has arrested more than 10 people, including the killers and those who gave them shelter, from seven locations in Kerala. Now, the NIA has announced rewards for information about the main accused in the murder case.
