Prajwal to get Rs 524 as daily wages in jail

BENGALURU: Former MP and convict in a rape case, Prajwal Revanna, will earn Rs 524 as daily wages in Parappana Agrahara Central Jail.

Prajwal, who has been assigned prisoner number 15528, has been shifted to a condemned cell and given a white jail inmate uniform. Prisoners are required to work for 8 hours a day and can choose from various tasks such as bakery, gardening, dairy work, carpentry and cleaning.

Initially, prisoners receive Rs 524 per day, which increases to Rs 548 after one year, Rs 615 after two years and Rs 663 after three years. Currently, Prajwal is reportedly maintaining his silence and not interacting with other inmates in the jail.
