BENGALURU: A couple of hours after 23 legislators and a close aide of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah were administered the oath of office and secrecy as new ministers in the Karnataka Cabinet by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot at the Glass House at Raj Bhavan on Saturday morning, a list claiming allocation of portfolios to the ministers started doing the rounds on social media.
Later, in the evening, the state unit of the Congress posted on its Twitter handle saying that the list was fake and not to pay heed to it.
The Karnataka Congress tweeted saying, “A fake list about allocation of portfolios to the new Cabinet Ministers has gone viral on social media and other media. Portfolios are still not allocated, don’t heed to speculations, and don’t share fake news. The government will officially release the portfolio allocation list soon”, the post, in Kannada, read.

Later, on Saturday night, another list, with minor changes, again started doing the rounds on social media, but it could not be confirmed if it was the final list of portfolio allocation.
