BENGALURU: Two policemen, who were in civilian clothes, allegedly thrashed the president of the apartment association in Byatarayanapura for questioning why they were checking CCTV footage, a few days ago. The apartment residents now plan to file a complaint with the police.
Two police constables were checking CCTV footage at V2 Sneha Apartment at Byatarayanapura New Extension. The apartment association president K C Rajappa said he approached the policemen and questioned why they were checking CCTV footage.
“In a raised voice, they said that they are from Girinagar police station and threatened to arrest me and file a case for obstructing them from discharging their duty”, Rajappa claimed.
The argument heated up, resulting in the policemen thrashing Rajappa and the incident was captured on CCTV camera. The residents of the apartment complex now plan to file a complaint against the policemen for entering without permission and assaulting the association president.
