KOPPAL: An assistant sub-inspector of police died while on duty after he was knocked down by an unidentified vehicle on National Highway-50 near Vanaballari village in the taluk on Thursday night. The deceased is Ramanna (55).
The ASI was on highway patrol duty on Thursday night in a patrol vehicle. He was knocked down by an unidentified vehicle when he had stepped out of the patrol vehicle. The Munirabad police have registered a case and are on the lookout for the killer vehicle.
