CHIKKAMAGALUR: The Bengaluru police are conducting a search operation since Tuesday at Charmadi Ghat for the body of a youth who was murdered nine months ago. The Cubbon Park police in Bengaluru have already arrested five people in connection with the murder and based on their information, a search is being conducted for the body.
Sharath, a resident of Konanakunte in Bengaluru, had taken money from several people in Chikkaballapur and Yelahanka saying that he would get them cars at subsidised rates and duped them. A case had been registered against him for cheating.
Sharat was later kidnapped and murdered and his body dumped in Charmadi Ghats. A missing person’s case had been registered at the Cubbon Park police station.
