Police raid rave party at farmhouse near Electronics City; seize drugs and arrest five

BENGALURU: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police raided a farmhouse near Electronics City on Sunday night, where a rave party was allegedly being held, and seized drugs including MDMA pills and cocaine from the premises. The raid was conducted at GR Farm, said to be belonging to Gopal Reddy, managing director of the realty form Concorde Group.

Five people, including the organiser and three drug peddlers were arrested. They are Vasu, who is a builder based in Hyderabad, Arun, Siddique, Ranbir and Nagababu. Additional Commissioner of Police Chandragupta said the raid was conducted based in specific information.

“More than 100 people were partying with drugs and five people have been arrested. Some of them were in possession of drugs. A case has been registered at Electronics City police station. All the guests at the venue are being subjected to medical tests”, the officer added.

More than 100 youngsters from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Bengaluru were at the farmhouse at the time of the raid. The dusk-to-dawn party was hosted to celebrate the birthday of Vasu who flew in some of the guests. One car with Andhra Pradesh MLA Kakani Govardhan Reddy and another with a Karnataka Legislative Council member’s stickers were also at the venue. Disk jockeys RABZ, KAY-VEE Singh and BLOODYY MASCARA were also present along with several models and techies.

The dog squad and the police conducted thorough inspection on the premises and also checked all the cars. Several high-end cars were parked at the farmhouse. The over 100 people who were at the rave party were taken for medical tests. Two forensic teams also collected evidence from the farmhouse. It is said that some of the cocaine was thrown around and some flushed down in the toilet.

Those attending the party had reportedly locked themselves in the farmhouse when the police landed there and refused to open. After about half an hour, the police forcibly entered the house. They included 30 young women including models and TV serial actors.

Meanwhile, after her name surface, actor Hema clarified in a video message that she was not in Bengaluru but at at farmhouse in Hyderabad. “I don’t who was at the rave party and it is a false allegation against me. It is fake news, don’t fall for it”, she said.
