MYSURU: The Bilikere police have registered an FIR against an employee of a cash management firm and a woman after it was found that he had made away with Rs 5.8 lakh in cash which was meant to be filled in an ATM. The police are now on the lookout for the duo.
Akshay Kumar was employed with TL Enterprises and was tasked with loading cash at 16 ATMs in Mysuru district. During audit, the firm found some cash missing and when they checked CCTV footage at an ATM at Gaddige village, it was revealed that Akshay had put the money in a bag and taken it away.
The police believe that Akshay committed the theft at the instance of his girlfriend Tejaswini. The police also came across CCTV footage from a jewellery store when the duo could be seen buying gold jewellery. They have now launched a hunt for the duo.
