BENGALURU: Home Minister G Parameshwara has defended the state police action against Youtuber Ajeet Bharti, but admitted there may have been lapses in following procedure.
Speaking to media persons, the Home minister said there was some confusion as the Karnataka police had gone to Uttar Pradesh in plainclothes, but insisted that they did no wrong.
Parameshwara said the Karnataka police team went to Uttar Pradesh without informing their counterparts in that state beforehand. He said the police will issue a notice to the Youtuber and if he does not cooperate, they will secure a warrant for his arrest.
