VIJAYAPURA: A police head constable has come under attack for posting a comment targeting Opposition leader Siddaramaiah on social media.

Former chief minister Siddaramaiah had recently commented that ‘police personnel troubling Congress workers and are siding with the BJP will be taught a lesson’.

Head Constable Rajasekhara Khanapura, who commented on a video of Siddaramaiah’s speech on Facebook, remarked, “Those who badmouth the police should go home without police escort”. His post went viral in several WhatsApp groups.

Following this, Siddaramaiah’s followers and other Congress workers have condemned the police constables’ act saying that government employees should not show any bias. The police should work impartially and should not favour any political party, they demanded.
